Advantages and introduction of Xinhai tailings dry discharge process

Under the current technical and economic conditions, some tailings are not suitable for further sorting. However, with the development of production science and technology, some useful ingredients in tailings may have further recycling value. Tailings are not completely useless waste, it is the goal of every mineral processing plant to make full use of mineral resources, protect the ecological environment, and achieve waste-free discharge.

        At present, the vast majority of domestic tailings are still stored in wet discharges and tailings ponds. This traditional process has a certain degree of harm to the natural environment and personal safety. Dry tailings discharge is a new type of tailings discharge at home and abroad. Because it can reduce environmental pollution and improve the safety of tailings ponds, tailings dry discharge will become the future development direction of tailings discharge. Under this premise, Xinhai has made further research and design work: adopting the tailings dry discharge and dry pile technology to build zero discharge of tailings slurry without sewage outlets and protect the ecological environment.

        The tailing slurry produced by the concentrator is concentrated by a high-efficiency thickener and then pumped to the mixing tank of the filter press workshop through the slurry pump. After being fed by the slurry pump and pressed by the filter press, the sheet tailing cake is fully extruded. The weight concentration is more than 80%, and the water content is only about 20%. The tailings filter cake is transported by a belt conveyor and stacked in layers in the dry tailings yard.

       The filtered water enters the sedimentation tank, and the clean water in the upper part of the sedimentation tank overflows into the sedimentation tank. The clean water in the clean water tank is pressurized by the pump and used in the production of the concentrator. The fine tailings slurry in the bottom of the sedimentation tank is transported to the stirring tank through the submerged slurry pump, and then enters the pressure filtration process.
